Young people are increasingly aware of the challenges and opportunities of development. New generations have not only a stronger social and environmental awareness than their predecessors, but they also have the energy and knowledge to guide their communities, organizations and countries towards a low emission, and climate resilient development.
In Latin America and the Caribbean, there are very important initiatives aimed at linking young people with transforming development at a local and national level by promoting entrepreneurship, and active participation in discussions, policy implementation and climate action.
In this webinar, we will learn from two of these initiatives: Generation+1 from Peru, with their Talent + 1 program, which develops leadership, strengthen capacities, facilitates incidence, and supports ventures among young persons from the country. We will also hear about the GREENOVATORS contest from the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), which supports youth entrepreneurship and leadership in climate change and sustainable development. The winner of GREENOVATORS 2014 will present his project.
The webinar will be held in Spanish. For more information about the webinar, click here. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the LEDS LAC Platform Secretariat at, info@ledslac.org.
