Upcoming activities: 2017 Bioelectricity community of practice
The LEDS regional platform for Latin America and the Caribbean (LEDS LAC) and LEDS GP Energy Working Group are delighted to announce activities for the 2017 Bioelectricity community of practice.
The first Bioelectricity community of practice took place in 2016, where participants discussed the technical and economic consequences of alternative bioelectricity development pathways, and explored effective financing and policy environments. At the final 2016 workshop in Costa Rica, the group agreed on priority themes for 2017. Read a brief report on the 2016 community of practice here.
The main objective of this year’s sessions is to improve understanding and cooperation between policymakers, financial institutions, and the private sector to effectively mitigate investment risks in the bioelectricity sector.
The activities for this year include two online sessions on 13 and 27 September and an in-person workshop on 18 October in Mexico City, following the Sixth LEDS LAC Regional Workshop.
Please register for the two online sessions by Tuesday 29 August by clicking this link.
